Ralph Lauren

Barbary Coast was retained by Ralph Lauren to assist in obtaining entitlements for their new store location on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. After being blindsided by a small group of opponents, and losing before the Planning Commission with a 6-1 vote, Barbary Coast was brought on board to revive the project. Barbary Coast immediately began an intense eight week outreach effort to comb the radius around the project and connect with businesses and residents. After convincing former opponents to support the project, Barbary Coast returned to the Commission to receive a unanimous vote.

"In the process of opening a new store, Ralph Lauren needed to reach out to nearby residents and businesses. We hired Barbary Coast Consulting, and were amazed by the work Jaime Salinas did on our behalf.

When you hire a consultant, you want them to treat your project like their own - and that’s what Jaime Salinas did for us. Jaime met with residents, merchants, and community leaders, diplomatically negotiated a package of community benefits, built a supportive coalition, and advised us every step of the way. From the first day he performed at the highest level and melded into our team so seamlessly that we forgot he was a consultant."
